D0g Kills Elderly J0gger

SUBANG JAYA: TWO people, one armed with a stick and another with an umbrella, went to help a senior citizen who was being savagely attacked by a dog yesterday morning. Despite their efforts, the victim was killed on the spot.
This was the scene in Jalan SS19/5B yesterday morning, where Yip Sin Hua  , 74, out for his morning jog, was attacked and killed by an American Staffordshire terrier that had broken loose from its owner's compound.
"I hit the dog so many times on the head with a stick, but it just did not let go.
"Its jaws were firmly clamped on the man's neck and he, too, could not push it away," cried 86-year-old Lina Yong, a neighbour of the dog owner.
"Then, a motorcyclist stopped and he also hit the dog with an umbrella until it broke. Still, the dog did not budge.
"It only let go after the victim stopped struggling. I guess he had died by then."
The dog then calmly turned around and entered its owner's compound through an open garbage chute door.
A doctor, who was in the neighbourhood, rushed to Yip's aid but he was already dead.
This terrifying scene was still being relayed to neighbours by Lina several hours after the incident.
Yip, a regular jogger who stayed in Jalan SS19/5E, was out for his exercise at 9.30am when the dog attacked him.
Lina said she heard screams and when she came out, she saw the dog on top of Yip. It had torn off part of his right ear and was biting his neck.
After the attack, a passer-by used Yip's handphone to contact his family.
The family went to the dog owner's house and demanded that the occupants come out and apologise, but they refused.
Subang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Yahaya Ramli said the dog's owner was a 25-year-old female accountant who had a valid licence for the animal.
"She adopted the dog from a private kennel three months ago," Yahaya said, adding that police had recorded her statement.
The case has been classified as causing death by negligence, a charge punishable with a maximum jail sentence of two years, a fine, or both, upon conviction.
Veterinary Services Department officials went to house, sedated the animal and took it away.
Yip's wife, Lim Yoke Kim, 73, said she was not alarmed when she received the call.
"I didn't think my husband's condition was serious until I reached the scene."
The distraught woman said the family had been living in the area for more than 20 years and that Yip was a regular jogger who did not encounter any problems before.
"He was hale and hearty, and did not suffer from any illness. He celebrated his 74th birthday on April 28."
Lim said her husband worked in an advertising agency and they had four sons aged between 44 and 51. The family demanded that the owner of the dog apologise over the incident.

  11. erk~~ I am from alpha 5 and i want to add something here.

I agree with you all comment, but, although that dog just kill that man, we cannot mark an animal calls dog as a dangerous animal. I am saying like this because dog is God's creation and does not have knowledge like human. So, as human we need to take care our pet with correctly and fix some it's attitudes which are bad .

plus: please fix my word. XD
